Our NEW GARDEN
Located at 1928 Holly and opening to the public February 2027, our flagship neighborhood garden preparation is in full swing.
Here we see members of the neighborhood working together to clear and prep the new new garden.
This garden will be promoting heirloom varieties of vegetables that our ancestors grew for thousands of years. These are vegetables that grow without asking permission or requiring chemical application, including many varieties of food that have been lost to time and history.
We aim to build a new food ecosystem for our community — yard by yard, plot by plot, neighborhood by neighborhood. Access to fresh, healthy food is a basic human right. We promote food sovereignty and elevate the role of ancestral foods in the Arkansas Mississippi River Delta.
By regenerating urban green spaces, we strengthen community connection, reduce loneliness, and create welcoming places to belong. Our green work improves soil quality, cools summer heat, and boosts biodiversity across our yards, lots, and neighborhoods.
